FasterThemes is a 10+ year old WordPress theme shop with 22 themes on WordPress.org and tens of thousands of active installs. In 2026 we rebuilt the entire shop — design, code, ops — with Claude as CTO.
The honest version
We started in 2014 selling WordPress themes. Like every other shop, we charged yearly. We had decent themes. We had OK code. Then page builders ate the world, every theme got bloated, and Core Web Vitals exposed it all.
In 2026 we did something most theme shops won't: we threw away the old code and started over. Same brand, same WP.org presence, same support team — but every theme is being rebuilt for sub-second LCP, perfect mobile-first design, and zero page-builder dependencies.
Why "engineered by AI" isn't marketing fluff
Every line of CSS, every PHP function, every design decision in this rebuild was reviewed by Claude — Anthropic's frontier model. Not "AI-generated" content. Not autocomplete. Real architectural review, design critique, and security audit on every file.
It catches bugs we miss. It pushes back when we're sloppy. It's pickier about typography than we are. The result is themes that look hand-crafted because, at the typography and architecture level, they were — just by an AI co-founder instead of a junior dev.
